Tolga Katas and Christine Marie moved to ‘The Crick’ in September, 2016, from Las Vegas, NV. The plan was to have a little getaway “cottage” and keep one foot in Las Vegas. However, the breathtaking beauty combined with the kindness of the people quickly made them fall in love with this community, and whenever they leave, they can’t wait to come back.
Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, Tolga moved to the U.S. with his family as a teen. In his past life, he was a mini-rock star of sorts, owned two record labels and contributed to the sale of over 50 million records. He won BMI Song of the Year for “Sending All My Love,” a song he wrote and produced. Tolga is a software engineer, music producer & photographer. He has always been a city boy, so life in The Crick is a true adventure for him.
Christine is also a photographer, as well as an entrepreneur with two Masters Degrees – an MBA and a Masters in Psychology.
She is the mother of 4 children, a former parent educator, kindergarten teacher & puppeteer with passion for teaching the joy of reading and writing. Currently she is a writer, speaker, advocate and she is completing a PhD in Media Psychology. Her educational and research goals center around using media and technology for good and for growth.
Their family is enriched by six chihuahuas, one of which may be the smallest dog in America.
